For many years this course was known as Makaha West and then Sheraton Makaha. It is a wonderful layout nestled in a lovely triangular valley on Oahu's west end about 50 minutes from Waikiki. A lush course by any measure, Makaha Resort Golf Club offers striking views of the blue Pacific and creases in the face of the Waianae Mountains. Ten good holes at the valley's mouth are followed by eight superb holes that move deeper into the Makaha Valley. The deceptive finishing hole is quite alluring. Certainly, one of the best examples of challenging Hawaii golf. And don't miss a Makaha sunset!
