Set in the lush upcountry of Haleakula's lower slopes on the way to the Haleakala Volcano National Park, Pukalani GC delivers spectacular views and a layout that's friendly and forgiving, yet demanding from the tips. The 18-hole/19-green design is one of the best values in the state, which accounts for its popularity among local golfers. The 3rd Hole offers golfers a choice of greens. One option plays all-carry over a deep ravine and usually into the wind. The other plays steeply downhill into a well-bunkered basin-like setting. At 1,100 feet of elevation, Pukalani is Maui's highest course and definitely worth a visit or two.
