WAIKOLOA BEACH RESORT sports two fine layouts — The Waikoloa Beach Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., and The Waikoloa Kings' Golf Course, designed by the team of Tom Weiskopf & Jay Morrish. These are perhaps the two most improved courses in Hawaii under the astute management of Hawaii's best golf operator, Scott Head.

On Rt. 190, the high road to Kailua-Kona, about 5 miles short of the big town, is Makalei Golf Club, with its new greens and fascinating game birds, not to mention the can't miss design.
Our lodging properties of choice in the Kona/Keauhou area: Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort, a quality hotel property that has recently undergone an extensive renovation and refurbishment, Outrigger Kanaloa at Kona is a worthy spot to throw don anchor for a nice long stay. However, staying on the Kohala Coast, within the resorts, is a far more convenient location from which to access most of our Big Island golf options.
Over the other side of the island, about 40 minutes above Hilo, is Volcano Village and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and its golf entry, Volcano Golf & Country Club, the Big Island's oldest and highest elevated course. We can add additional nights in Volcano Village to any of our packages at the wonderful Chalet Kilauea and its associated accommodations.
